  Director, Network Operations, Washington DC August 2000 – November 2002

·               Responsible for surveillance and fault management on the network comprised of 5 markets, 30 POP locations, and over 250 network elements with over 23,000 fiber miles and a backbone operating at OC-192.

·               Preformed and managed vendors during install, test and accept new equipment (Optical & Electrical Transmission T1 - OC192, IP routers, timing, facility infrastructure) as per Engineering approved Method Of Procedures and supporting documentation.

·               Constructed procedures that transitioned Cambrian from networks to fully operational. Included daily technical troubleshooting, trouble ticket flow, reporting, vendor management, and internal/external customers.

·               Provided written input on all operational and support issues while working closely with the core Cambrian team during the vendor RFP and selection process.

·               Defined the initial Network Operations Center (NOC) physical build out requirements and created the scope of work for vendors submitting draft proposals.
